The story follows as so
Florida
Flame was diagnosed with pyometra at the age
of
10 months , we stopped showing her to concentrate on babies.
After
successfully treating her with the
prostoglandin
treatment she was mated on her first call
to
our beautiful Hot Rod.
Success!!!!!!
she became pregnant YIPEE !!!!!all my dreams were
to
be fullfilled
NOT
SO!
then
the unthinkable happened
Flame
went into labour the first baby was breech she
struggled
to birth her unfortunately she died whilst being born
then
for 3 hours Flame pushed & pushed but no kitten
after
an emergency c-section a little red tabby cpc boy was delivered
he
was beautiful but he did not breath well
he
died at 2 hours old!!
My
dreams were in tatters but at least Flame was here
on
my vets advice Flame was to be spayed!
but
I held off over winter to try to make her in to a Champion
6
weeks after her c-sectionFlame was shown at her first adult show.
she
won her CAC
she
was shown again and won her CAC and was nominated and
won
BOS too, finally her title came at The Cat of the Year show!
Then
fate stepped in
Hot
Rod and Flame were both in the house after Cat of the Year
I
went off on Saturday to Manchester Dog Show to show our Affies
when
I came home my husband said " by the way Hot Rod has been
matingFlame
all day!!!!
I
was horrified ( how do you explain that to your vet!)
well
I hoped she would not conceive
SHE
DID!
So
after a lenghty conversation with my very amused vet !
a
planned c-section was called for .
Flame
had a copy book pregnacy
and
on the 15th April she was delivered TWO COLOURPOINT BOYS
So
this is a story for all to take heart from
Because
as my boys name are

Dared to Dream
and
it
Pays
to Persevere!!
